Xtify Announces Release of Google Cloud Messaging SDK & Push Engine for Android

With the end of Google's C2DM experiment comes the launch of Google Cloud Messaging (GCM).  Our team spent the past few weeks re-building our Android SDK library and push engine to be compatible with GCM.  We're happy to report that developers may now begin the migration using our new SDK. Our GCM platform is production-ready and we welcome feedback from early adopters (email me: michael@xtify.com).

If you've already built an Android app using the Xtify C2DM-based SDK, we've made it easy for you by including embedded migration methods. We'll take care of moving tags for your users over to your new GCM appKey. If you're depending on our XID for direct messaging or segmentation, we've included a way for you to detect the old XID and new XID so you can update your user table.
